Notice on Children Under 13 (COPPA)

ConnectInk is intended for students 13 and older. We do not knowingly accept accounts for, or collect personal information from, children under 13. This is in alignment with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which governs how online services may collect information from children under 13.

What this means in practice

• Accounts are intended for students in 6th grade and older. Schools working with us should not invite students under 13.
• If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a student under 13, we will delete that information and close the account.
• Parents or guardians who believe their child under 13 has an account on ConnectInk should contact us (see below) and we will remove the account and any associated data.

If you are a parent or guardian

Regardless of age, parents and guardians of any ConnectInk student can:

• Review the personal information ConnectInk holds about their child.
• Request correction or deletion of that information.
• Refuse further collection or use of their child's information.

To exercise any of these rights, or to report that an under-13 student has an account, contact us at rahul@innovateinsightfully.com. We will respond within 10 business days.

Deletion

Upon request, we will delete all personal information held about a student (their writing, AI feedback, chat history, name, and email) and take any published work offline. We retain only a de-identified usage record that carries no personal information and cannot be traced back to the student. See our Data Deletion Request page for the process. Deletion typically takes effect within 30 days.
